Meet Dr. Molander

Biography

Dr. Diana Molander, MD, FMP, PhD is a physician with over 10 years of experience in the field of nutrigenomics and functional medicine, acquired mostly in the USA. She is currently part of the Acibadem City Clinic Vitosha University Hospital team and works with adults and children with various health challenges. She often uses individual gene variations (SNPs) as a tool to build strictly individual nutritional and lifestyle recommendations.

She is a Nutrigenomics and Dietetics lecturer and scientific researcher in the specialty at the Medical University of Plovdiv and co-author of guides and exams for nutrigenomic students. Dr. Molander continually participates in international nutrigenomics and functional medicine conferences like the American Society for Nutrition's International Congress and the European Association for Cancer Research's Congress.

Her scientific interests in the last 5 years have focused in depth on the treatment of colorectal cancer and cardiovascular diseases. Dr. Molander creates evidence-based nutritional plans based on patients' unique genetic and microbiome profile. Exams and guidelines are provided in English and her native Bulgarian language. She is also the founder of health services provider, NouriGene, Ltd.

From 2007 to 2011 she founded Chicago-based nutritional counseling firm, Youthful Aging, Inc. Previous to her medical career she was a lawyer in her home country, Bulgaria.
